Eilis is a young Dublin born artist who have lived for the past 2 years near Dungarvan in County Waterford. She first exhibited in The Narrow Space in February 2004 and her work has been causing quite a stir ever since. We are delighted to be hosting Eilis’s first one person show.

‘The ever changing sky and its influence on the landscape is what inspires me as an artist. Influences of intangible substances such as light, moisture and fog, which recreate the landscapes appearance.

In my work I aim to capture these moments in time created by the movement of the natural phenomena which occur in nature. The diffusion of light through mist and fog creates an eerie quietness yet also envelopes one with a mildly hypnotic sense of stillness and peace.’

new works by Eoin De Leastar

Recently turned 50, Eoind de Leastar, a figurative painter in the classical tradition, spent a couple of the winter months this year in Italy and the resulting work forms the basis for this exhibition of oils and watercolours. Including scenes of Venice and Loro Piceno in Le Marche , the work shows the breath of de Leastar’s talent in either medium. A much under rated artist, this is his first solo show in a good number of years.
